How high should I mount my tv

How high should I mount my TV?

How high should I mount my tv or is there a correct height to mount my tv?

I’m asked these questions by every customer. Surprisingly there is no right answer. Generally I suggest the top of the tv to be 1700mm to 1900 mm from the floor, however it’s a subjective thing and depends on a few factors.

  • How big your TV is
  • Dimensions of the room
  • Type of room and it’s use
  • Construction of the wall the TV is being mounted on
  • Furniture in the room

How high should I mount my tv?

Let’s have a look a bit deeper.

If you have a large tv going into a small room you don’t want to be lifting your head to see the screen. We would mount the tv a bit lower or vice versa for a larger room.

I mount TV’s higher in a bedroom as the angle you view the TV changes from a sitting position. Now you’re in a lying position. This way you won’t need to prop your head up thus hurting your neck.

If your wall is a difficult construction to mount exactly where you’d like the tv to be or your tv is quite large and heavy we will need to mount it where it’s going to be safe and secure from falling down in the long term.

If you have a high cabinet under where your tv is going to be wall mounted then the top of the tv will be higher.

New NBN point

Move NBN Point

Do you need to move a NBN point in your home in Adelaide?

Has your Internet Service Provider told you there’s a problem with your NBN point or there’s an issue with your NBN connection?

Adelaide Digital and WiFi will solve all your NBN cabling problems. We are also licenced Master Cablers and experienced in all NBN connections and can move your NBN point or NBN box to anywhere in your home you need it. We are licensed with the Australian Government authority that oversees regulations regarding NBN cabling inside homes. So for your peace of mind we will certify all our work to confirm that it meets all legal obligations. Don’t trust your work to an unlicenced tradie.

We relocated the NBN HFC equipment from the middle of the loungeroom into the office so now the equipment is out of sight. Another great result. WiFi connection is now strong in the back half of the house where it was quite patchy before. Adelaide Digital and WiFi can also supply and install a WiFi access point to compliment your NBN service. We will move your NBN point to a new spot in your home.

Check out what we have been doing at our cabling page or on Facebook or email us. Our contact page is here or call us direct on 0430 888 138.
